My aunt's minced meat sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • ½ kg minced meat
  • 250 ml water
  • 250 ml gravy
  • some oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Maggi
  • marjoram
  • nutmeg
  • 4 tbsp curry powder
  • 3 tbsp ketchup

Instructions

Working time approx. 2 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 27 minutes

Add a little oil to the pot (the less the better). Heat the pot and add the minced meat. Stirring constantly, fry for a few seconds, but do not fry completely; the red color will remain almost completely. Then add the 250 ml water and simmer the minced meat until tender. As soon as the minced meat is cooked and completely gray, add the 250 ml meat juices. Continue to simmer gently. Add salt and pepper, a little marjoram, nutmeg, about 10 strong dashes of Maggi (if you don’t like Maggi, leave it out), about 3 tbsp ketchup, and about 4 tbsp curry. If you like, you can add a little more spice. Season to taste: – too curry-rich = add ketchup – too tasteless = add curry, Maggi, and/or pepper. Serve with rice or noodles.
