Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g cream
  • 150 g Parmesan, finely grated
  • 125 g cream cheese
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 4 pinches of pepper
  • 2 pinches of nutmeg
  • 400 g gnocchi or tortellini, fresh
  • 100 g ham, sliced
  • 100 g mushrooms, from the jar (alternatively or in addition)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

for fresh gnocchi or tortellini

Cut the ham slices into strips as desired, finely grate the Parmesan (if it isn’t already grated). Bring the cream and Parmesan to a boil, stirring constantly, until the Parmesan is completely dissolved. Add the cream cheese and sour cream, immediately reduce the heat, and stir briefly until the sauce is smooth. Season with salt (sparingly, as the Parmesan and ham are already very salty), pepper, and nutmeg. Bring the sauce back to a boil, add the uncooked fresh gnocchi or tortellini and the ham (the gnocchi or pasta and ham should be completely submerged in the sauce, as they will be cooked in it first). Cover, remove from the heat, and let stand for 2 minutes. Alternative for vegetarians: Replace the ham with mushrooms (from a jar, drained).
