Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter or margarine
  • 175 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • some salt
  • 4 drops flavoring (bitter almond)
  • 6 eggs
  • 450 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 125 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 50 g semi-sweet chocolate coating
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 125 g biscuits (amaretti biscuits)
  • 6 tbsp Amaretto
  • 150 g semi-sweet chocolate coating
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 3 hours 15 minutes

Cream together margarine or butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and flavoring until fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour and baking powder and stir in alternately with the milk. Divide the dough into 3 portions. Stir the cocoa, melted chocolate coating, and 5 tablespoons of milk into the first portion. For the second portion, roughly chop the amaretti biscuits and stir them into the batter along with the amaretto. Grease a ring tin and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour in the dark batter first, then the light batter, and finally the amaretto batter. Using a fork, spiral the batter through and smooth it down. Bake in an oven preheated to 175°C for about 1 hour (use a skewer to test). Melt the chocolate coating in a hot water bath and spread it over the cooled cake. Sprinkle with sugar.
