Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g margarine (melted)
  • 250 g sugar
  • 300 g flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 18 minutes; Total time approx. 28 minutes

Basic recipe

Beat the 5 eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Mix the baking powder and salt into the flour and add alternately with the melted margarine. Beat with a mixer on high speed for a few minutes. Pour the batter onto a greased and breadcrumb-dusted baking sheet and either bake immediately for about 15 to 20 minutes at 180°C using conventional heat or top with fruit or chocolate sprinkles as desired. I like to use apple slices, cherries, chocolate sprinkles, or simply a lemon glaze after baking.
