Colorful rice pot

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 750 ml meat broth or vegetable broth (instant)
  • 125 g rice (long grain rice)
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 point peas (frozen)
  • 450 g carrot(s) (frozen)
  • some salt
  • 70 g ham, cooked

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Heat the broth. Wash the rice in a sieve and drain well. Melt the fat in a large pot, add the rice, and sauté over high heat until translucent. Then add the frozen vegetables, still unthawed, to the pot. Pour the hot broth over the vegetables, season with salt, and simmer, covered, over low heat for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, cut the cooked ham into small cubes and add it to the pot a few minutes before the end of the cooking time. Salad goes well with this colorful rice pot.
