Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 500 g flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cup(s) walnuts, chopped
  • 1 packet of baking powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Whisk together the sugar, salt, and egg yolks until frothy. Then stir in the flour, baking powder, and the small cups of milk. Then fold in the small cups of walnuts and the stiffly beaten egg whites. Divide between two loaf pans and bake at 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) (160 degrees Celsius fan-assisted) for 45 minutes. Also delicious as bread with butter or jam!
