Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 2 cans of tuna
- 5 slice(s) toast bread, or white bread
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 large onions
- 5 eggs
- 1 pinch(s) ground cumin
- 1 piece(s) butter or margarine, for greasing the mold
- 2 limes
- 1 pinch of salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Cut the bread into cubes and mix with the milk in a bowl. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions until translucent. Preheat the oven to approximately 180°C. Whisk the eggs well and stir into the bread mixture. Drain and shred the tuna, then add it as well. Mix everything thoroughly, along with the onions and seasoning. Grease a baking dish with butter or margarine and pour the mixture into the pan. Bake for approximately 30 minutes. It tastes best cold, but not chilled. Garnish with lime slices and serve.
