Minced lamb with peas

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 3 onions, in rings
  • 2 chili peppers, red, pitted and chopped
  • 1 bunch of coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped, cut into cubes
  • 1 tsp ginger root, grated
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 2 garlic cloves, pink, chopped
  • 450 g minced lamb
  • 250 g peas

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Heat the oil in a medium saucepan. Add the onion rings and fry until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Add the chopped red chilies, half of the coriander leaves, and the chopped tomatoes to the onion rings in the pan. Reduce the heat to low. Stir the salt, grated ginger, and chopped garlic cloves into the tomato and onion mixture. Then heat a pan with a little oil and fry the minced lamb for about 7-10 minutes, stirring continuously. Stir the browned minced lamb into the tomato and onion mixture. Add the peas and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Now stir in the chili powder. Serve the minced lamb with the peas and garnish with the remaining coriander. We served it with rice.
