Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 200 g chocolate, dark
- 150 g butter
- 150 g sugar
- 4 m.-sized eggs
- 2 tbsp rum, or 1 tsp rum-flavoring
- 50 g flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- some butter, for greasing the jars
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Moist chocolate cakes – addictive!
Slowly melt the chocolate, sugar, and butter in a bowl over a pan of simmering water. Meanwhile, grease the jars with butter and preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F). When the chocolate mixture is completely liquid, gradually stir in the eggs. Then add the rum flavoring or rum. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add to the mixture. Stir everything briefly. Then, using a tablespoon, pour the mixture into the greased jars and bake in the hot oven for 20-25 minutes. Since the cakes will rise, the jars should only be filled about 3/4 full. The batter is enough for 8 jars of 220 ml each. To store, the jars must be sealed immediately (while still hot) with a rubber band and the appropriate lid. The cakes will then keep for 2-3 weeks.
