Miriam's Carrot Lemonade

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g carrot(s), grated
  • 5 lemon(s), the juice
  • 1 orange(s), the juice
  • 150 g cane sugar
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • n. B. Mineral water for serving

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

In a large bowl, combine the carrots, lemon and orange juice, and sugar. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (preferably longer), stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar. Strain the lemonade base through a sieve and pour into a pitcher. The remaining liquid can be used in baking, for example, in a carrot cake. To make the lemonade, add 25-50 ml of base to each glass, add ice cubes if desired, and fill with 200 ml of sparkling water.
