Coffee essence

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g sugar
  • 250 g espresso or very strong coffee

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

In a small saucepan, bring the coffee and sugar to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture has reduced. Pour the essence into a small container and let it cool, then store it in the refrigerator. I use the essence for baking and cooking, but I also like to add it to cold milk with powdered sugar to make a kind of iced coffee.
