Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 can of fried herring(s), 500 g filling quantity
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 apple
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 6 tbsp water
  • 5 tbsp cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes

Quick and easy to prepare.

Peel the onion and apple and cut both into thin slices or rings. Place the fried herring and broth in a casserole dish. Distribute the apple and onion rings on top. Mix the vinegar, water, and cream. Add salt, pepper, and sugar, stir, and pour over the dish. Refrigerate the casserole dish and let it marinate. Serve with whole potatoes.
