Cauliflower in herb sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 200 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
  • 2 tomatoes
  • n. B. herbs
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Finely chop the cauliflower and the onion. Heat the butter in a saucepan and fry the cauliflower and onions until browned. Add the broth, lemon juice, and salt to the vegetables, cover, and simmer over low heat for 5-15 minutes until softened. Peel and finely chop the tomatoes. Pour the cauliflower broth into a small saucepan, stir in the tomatoes and cheese, and bring to a boil. Season the sauce generously with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, then return it to the cauliflower.
