Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 15 elderflower heads, unwashed
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • 50 g citric acid
  • 750 g sugar
  • 2 bottles of schnapps (Nordhäuser Doppelkorn)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 5 minutes

Place the cones, water, and citric acid in a sealed container and let it steep for 24 hours. Strain, add sugar, and the corn. It’s very important not to wash the cones, otherwise the flavor will be lost.
