Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 150 g butter, cold
- 100 g sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 300 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Nougat, softened, or Nutella
- 300 g powdered sugar
- some coffee, strong
- Chocolate decoration (mocha beans), for decoration
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Prepare the shortcrust pastry and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Then roll out the dough thinly and cut out cookies using a cookie cutter. Place them on a baking sheet. Don’t pack too tightly, as the dough will rise slightly. Bake at 170°C (350°F) until the tops are lightly browned. For me, this takes 8-10 minutes. Once cooled, fill two cookies each with Nutella or nougat. For the glaze, beat the powdered sugar with a few drops of coffee with a mixer until very fluffy. The glaze should be thick! If it’s too thick, add a drop or two more, or if it’s too thin, stir in more powdered sugar. Glaze the cookies, top each cookie with a mocha bean, and let them dry. It’s best to let them rest for a few days, then they’ll become crumbly!
