Potato and carrot mash

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 350 g potatoes, mainly waxy
  • 250 g carrot(s)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 100 ml milk
  • some salt and pepper
  • some nutmeg, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the potatoes and carrots and chop them into large pieces. Cover with salted water and bring to a boil, then simmer covered over medium heat for about 15 to 20 minutes. Drain everything and let it steam briefly in a hot pot. Add the butter and milk and roughly mash everything. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and freshly grated nutmeg. One serving contains 261 calories.
