Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 chicken breast fillet(s)
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 150 ml red wine, dry
- 1 tsp, heaped chicken broth, instant
- 1 tsp, leveled salt
- 2 tsp honey
- some oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
served with bread dumplings or potatoes
Slice the onions into rings and finely chop the garlic. Sear the chicken breast fillet in a little oil in a large pan. Add the onions and garlic. After about a minute, reduce the heat and let the meat cook through. The onions should now be browned and soft. Remove the chicken. It can now go on the plate, because the rest goes quickly. Deglaze the onions with the red wine and season with the chicken stock, salt, and honey. Let it simmer. The sauce will thicken quickly. Pour the onion sauce over the chicken and spread it on the plate. I recommend bread dumplings or potatoes as a side dish. Note: It is difficult to fry the large amount of onions for more than one serving in a medium-sized pan.
