Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g chicken
  • 1 bell pepper(s)
  • 1 tbsp, heaped honey
  • ½ onion(s), chopped
  • 2 clove(s) garlic, chopped
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • some chili powder
  • some sesame
  • 3 spring onions
  • ½ bunch coriander leaves
  • possibly water

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Wash the meat and cut into small pieces. Place it in a bowl with the chopped onion, chopped garlic, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, olive oil, barbecue sauce, and chili, mix, and let it simmer for half an hour. Brown the meat and the sauce in a pan over medium heat. Meanwhile, finely slice the bell pepper and add it. Thin the sauce with a little water, if necessary. Once the meat is cooked, arrange on plates and sprinkle with finely chopped spring onions and cilantro. Finally, sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with rice; we recommend basmati. Note from Chefkoch.de’s recipe editor: If you’re not familiar with cilantro, you might want to use less. You can also substitute it with flat-leaf parsley if you don’t like the taste.
