Applesauce with white wine and vanilla

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 6 large apples
  • 250 ml dry white wine
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel, core, and cut the apples into small pieces. Bring the apple pieces to a boil with white wine. Add the vanilla sugar and vanilla seeds and simmer until the apple pieces can be easily mashed. Then puree and season with sugar if necessary. The applesauce can then be stored in jars or frozen. I prefer freezing, as this preserves the flavor better.
