Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 600 g minced beef (lean)
  • 1 large can of sauerkraut
  • 1 tsp, leveled caraway seeds
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 250 ml water
  • 3 large onions
  • 3 cloves garlic, or more
  • 15 ml extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • some Greek yogurt to garnish the plate
  • some chili flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel and dice the onions and garlic. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan, add the onion and garlic, and sauté briefly. Add the minced meat and fry thoroughly. Now add the water, tomatoes, caraway seeds, and sauerkraut. Bring everything back to a boil and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Place a dollop of yogurt on each serving and sprinkle with chili flakes.
