Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ¼ liter of beer
  • 250 g flour
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 200 g cheese (Emmental), grated
  • 250 g onion(s), finely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 75 g diced ham
  • Oil, for frying
  • Chives, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Mix the beer with the flour and egg yolk. Add the cheese, onions, and ham, and season with salt and pepper. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Cut the chives into thin rolls. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and ladle the batter into the pan. Bake until golden brown. Turn once and sprinkle with the chives.
