Nut cake with sour cherries

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter or margarine
  • 170 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g chocolate shavings
  • 125 g ground hazelnuts or ground almonds
  • 3 tbsp rum
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder (to taste)
  • 1 jar sour cherries, pitted
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Cream the butter until fluffy, then slowly add the sugar. Gradually add the eggs. Fold in the chocolate shavings, nuts/almonds, and rum. Briefly stir in the sifted flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Pour the batter into the prepared springform pan and evenly distribute the drained sour cherries. Bake for 45-50 minutes at 175-200°C. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
