5 Grain porridge with rhubarb and strawberries

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 stalk(s) rhubarb
  • 4 tbsp, levelled sugar
  • 1 dl water
  • 75 g flakes (5 grain flakes – wheat, oats, barley, millet, rye)
  • 1 dl milk
  • 6 strawberries
  • 125 g semi-skimmed quark

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

The recipe is my own creation

Peel and slice the rhubarb, then simmer with sugar and water until smooth. Add the 5-grain flakes and milk. Quarter the strawberries and add them, simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Two minutes before the end, add the quark and simmer. Let cool for 5 minutes. This amount is intended as a complete meal. Tip: Instead of quark, you can use the same amount of vanilla ice cream; simply stir it in at the end.
