Fresh grain porridge with seasonal fruit

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 30 g grains (cereals, e.g. wheat, oats, barley)
  • 3 tbsp water, or more
  • ½ apple
  • ½ banana(s)
  • 2 tsp nuts, chopped
  • 100 g yogurt, 3.5% fat

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 hours; Total time approx. 5 hours 30 minutes

Cereal breakfast porridge

5-10 hours before eating, coarsely grind the grain. Mix with water and let it swell in the refrigerator. Shortly before eating, grate the apple and peel and slice the banana. Add the chopped nuts and yogurt. Combine all ingredients and mix with the grain. TIP: Apples should be used whenever possible. Additional fruit can be changed depending on the season. Instead of the banana, you can choose a tangerine, 100g of strawberries, or a peach. If there isn’t enough sweet fruit available, you can sweeten it with raisins or other unsulfured dried fruit.
