McMuffin with egg and ham

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 rolls (wheat toasties)
  • 4 m.-sized eggs
  • 2 slices of cooked ham
  • 4 slices of processed cheese
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tsp butter
  • Fat for frying and for the molds
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Heat the fat in a non-stick frying pan, lightly grease 4 dessert rings (7.5 cm diameter), then carefully place them in the pan. Crack an egg into each ring, being careful not to break the yolk. Season the eggs with salt and pepper. Fry over medium heat for about 2 minutes, until they begin to set. Remove the dessert rings and carefully turn the eggs over with a spatula. Fry for another 2 minutes. In the meantime, toast the toasties and first halve the ham, then cut into strips about 3 cm wide. Remove the eggs from the pan, keep warm in the oven if necessary, and fry the ham in the pan until crispy. Spread a thin layer of butter on the bottom of the toasties and ketchup on the top. Place a slice of cheese on the buttered side of each ring, then an egg, and finally the ham. Place the top on top.
