Pork with sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork shoulder
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp sour cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the meat into pieces, wash, and pat dry. Peel and halve the onion. Tie the parsley into a bunch with string and wash it. Heat the oil in a pot and add the meat, frying until well browned. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add the flour and sauté briefly. Pour in the water. Add the onion and parsley. Cover the pot and simmer the meat until tender. Season the sauce again if necessary, discard the parsley, and stir in the sour cream. Serve with mamaliga, pickled vegetables, or salad.
