Banana syrup

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g banana(s), ripe
  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g water
  • 1 sachet of citric acid

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel and puree the bananas. Combine water with sugar and citric acid and bring to a boil. Then add the banana puree and simmer for 10 minutes. Pour the syrup directly into bottles or jam jars while still hot and let cool upright with the lids on. Banana syrup goes well with pancakes, muesli, ice cream, yogurt, pudding, quark, etc.
