Toast with chocolate sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g cream
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 50 g dark chocolate coating
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp, heaped sugar
  • ½ pack of toast bread, 500 g each
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 25 g powdered sugar
  • 100 ml milk
  • Butter for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Trim the edges of the toast and cut each slice into three strips. Whisk together the egg, powdered sugar, and milk. Dip the toast strips into the mixture and fry in a pan with a little butter until golden brown. Mix the sugar and cinnamon and toss the toasted strips in it until stiff peaks form. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and slowly stir in. Stack the toast strips and pour the cream into a glass. Dip the strips into the cream and enjoy.
