Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 3 beetroots
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 100 ml water
- 3 tbsp peanuts
- 200 g feta cheese
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Roast the peanuts in a pan and remove them. Peel, wash, and finely chop the beets. Mix the water, sugar, and honey in a pan until the sugar and honey have dissolved. Heat the sugar water, add the beets, and simmer until the water has evaporated and the caramel forms. Stir well. Add the nuts, continue stirring, and simmer gently until the caramel is completely coated in the beets and nuts. Crumble the feta and pour it over the dish. If you want a filling base, you can also mix in pasta.
