Vegan Apple Crumble

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 apple, e.g. Pink Lady
  • 3 tbsp applesauce
  • 1 handful of cranberries
  • 1 handful of walnuts
  • 1 tbsp honey substitute, vegan
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 2 tbsp flour, maybe a little more
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the apple into small pieces, leaving the skin on if you like. Then chop the walnuts finely and add them to an ungreased pan along with the apple and cranberries. Brown everything over high heat. Add the cinnamon, and when the apples smell good, add the honey substitute and stir for about another minute. Pour the applesauce into a small baking dish and spread the contents of the pan on top. Make a crumble from the margarine, sugar, and flour, adding a little more flour until the batter has a nice consistency. Spread the crumble over the apples as well. Bake the crumble in a hot oven at 180-200°C (fan oven). Serve the crumble hot with vegan whipped cream.
