Panna Cotta with strawberry sauce and agar agar

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g cream
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp agar-agar
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 400 g strawberries
  • 50 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 35 minutes

vegetarian – easy preparation

Mix the agar-agar with the water and heat. Once the agar-agar has dissolved and warmed, add the cream with the sugar and the split vanilla pod and bring to a boil. Simmer for 15 minutes while stirring. Then remove the vanilla pod. Rinse the molds (max. 10 cm in diameter) with cold water, fill them with the mixture, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set. Wash and hull the strawberries, and puree them with the sugar. Then pass the pureed sugar-strawberries through a sieve. Remove the panna cotta from the molds and serve with the strawberry sauce.
