Broccoli and potato mash

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 300 g broccoli florets
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 piece(s) herb butter
  • some milk
  • n. B. herb cream cheese
  • n. B. salt and pepper, black
  • n. B. Nutmeg
  • n. B. cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

savory alternative

Peel the potatoes, cut them into chunks, and boil them in salted water with the chopped garlic. Just before the potatoes are tender, add the broccoli florets and cook for about 3 minutes, then drain. Set aside a few broccoli florets. Add a knob of herb butter, nutmeg, and black pepper to the potatoes and broccoli, and mash with a little milk. Stir in the herb cream cheese and add a little grated cheese, if desired. Fold in the remaining broccoli florets. Tastes great with pan-fried dishes like meatballs, bratwurst, schnitzel, or with a fried egg.
