Braised zucchini

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large zucchini
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 300 ml water
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp, heaped flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the zucchini into approximately 1 cm cubes. Season with salt, pepper, and mustard and generously flour. Heat the oil in a nonstick pan. Add the zucchini and sauté while stirring. Deglaze with water and stir to create a creamy sauce. Season with vinegar. Tip: I serve this with boiled potatoes as a main course, but sometimes I serve the zucchini as a vegetable and serve it with meatballs or other meat.
