Brandy plums

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg plum(s)
  • 500 g rock sugar, brown
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon, large
  • 1 liter of brandy, maybe a little more

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 28 days; Total time approx. 28 days 30 minutes

Delicious as a digestif, in dessert or just like that… not suitable for children!

Wash the plums and remove the stems. Pour boiling water over them and let them stand for about 3 minutes. This will cause the plums to burst, which is what you want! Drain and place them in a suitable container, alternating layers of rock candy and the broken cinnamon stick. Pour in the brandy until the plums are covered. Seal the jar and shake occasionally to dissolve the rock candy. This delicacy will be ready to enjoy after at least 4 weeks.
