Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
made quickly
Preheat the oven to 220°C (top/bottom heat). Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and toast in the oven until the surface is crispy and lightly browned. For a few slices, you can also use a toaster while the oven is still heating up. Rub each slice of bread well with the garlic clove. Cut the goat cheese roll into 6 pieces and distribute them among the slices of bread, crushing them until they are roughly the size of the slices. Drizzle a little honey over the goat cheese and grind the pepper over it. Place a piece of thyme on each slice. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, until the cheese begins to brown. If desired, activate the oven broiler at the end. Serve the crostini hot, e.g. as a side dish to salad or soup, or as a snack with beer and wine. Every oven bakes differently, so the 15 minutes is only a rough guide and the baking time may vary.
