Korean beef dish – quick version with minced meat

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g minced beef, up to 300 g
  • 1 large garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tsp, heaped ginger, finely grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce, spicy
  • 1 tbsp, heaped sugar, brown
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • ½ tsp mustard
  • some pepper, freshly ground
  • some salt
  • some chili flakes or fresh chili
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 spring onions

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Toast the sesame seeds in a pan without fat until fragrant and lightly browned. Remove and set aside. Finely slice the spring onions. Slice or finely chop fresh chili, depending on the spiciness and personal taste. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, ginger, sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, mustard, pepper, and chili flakes, if desired. In a hot pan, fry the beef until crumbly and lightly brown. Crush the garlic and add the chili pepper, mix everything well, and continue frying briefly. Stir in the seasoning mix and let it simmer for a few minutes over low heat, stirring continuously. Season to taste before serving. Rice goes well as a side dish.
