Apple-quark-cinnamon dessert

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g quark 20% or low-fat quark
  • 2 apples
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 2 tbsp xylitol (sugar substitute) or sugar
  • some cinnamon
  • some cream cheese
  • some xylitol (sugar substitute)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Low-carb, no sugar

First, peel and core the apples. Then, cut them into approximately 1 cm pieces. Melt the butter in a pan (I use salted butter, which brings out the flavor better). Once it’s melted, add the Xucker. When the liquid starts to brown, add the chopped apple, and let it all caramelize. Meanwhile, mix the quark with a little Xucker and pour into small glasses or bowls. When the apple pieces start to turn light brown, add a pinch of cinnamon (or more if you like). Let everything brown for another 1-2 minutes. Arrange the apple pieces on top of the quark, and top with a dollop of cream cheese.
