quick burger in 10 minutes
Preheat the air fryer to 200 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, cut the toastie in half. Spread a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise on one side and season with pepper if desired. Spread the minced meat on the other half and press it down evenly with a fork. Season the minced meat beforehand if desired, but this is not necessary for minced beef. Place a slice of bacon on each side. If necessary, cut these into smaller pieces to prevent them from slipping during cooking. Place both toastie halves side by side in the air fryer and cook at 180 degrees Celsius for about eight minutes. Meanwhile, trim the cheese slice so that it fits perfectly on one toastie half without sticking out over the edge. After the eight minutes are up, open the air fryer drawer and place the cheese on top of the cooked minced meat. Spread any excess cheese on the other side of the toastie. Then increase the temperature back to 200 degrees Celsius and leave the toastie halves in the air fryer for another 90 seconds, until the cheese is completely melted. Once everything is done, remove the two halves from the fryer, fold them together, and enjoy. Warning: It’s hot! I based this recipe on my air fryer; it may take a few tries or different times/temperatures on other appliances. I have an air fryer with two drawers, and I use one for a burger.
