Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 60 g Parmesan, grated
  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 2 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Sesame, black sesame and poppy seeds

Instructions

Knead together flour, baking powder, cheese, butter, crème fraîche, and salt. Form into a ball and refrigerate for 1 hour. Roll out the dough, cut out stars with cookie cutters, and place on baking paper. Brush with water and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake the cheese stars for 8 minutes. For a convection oven, 180°C (350°F) is also sufficient. Let cool and store in a container, then hide well, as the stars will keep for 3 weeks. Enjoy with a herb crème fraîche dip whenever everyone’s out.
