Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 200 g flour
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • 3 tbsp ajvar
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

with quark – oil – dough, quickly made

Combine all of the dough ingredients in a bowl and knead into a smooth dough. The dough should no longer stick to your hands; add a little more flour if necessary. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread 3 tablespoons of ajvar evenly over the dough. Dice the ham and scatter it on top with the cheese. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and roll up tightly, starting from the long side. Use a sharp knife to cut 2.5-3cm thick slices from the roll and place them cut-side down on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Flatten slightly. Bake at 200°C for 30-40 minutes. The baking time may vary slightly depending on the oven. Tip: The filling can be varied greatly; the snails taste delicious with half a finely diced bell pepper. The ham can also be replaced with salami. The snails are delicious hot or cold.
