Soup Filler: Marinated Bread Cubes

- 2 Discs Old farmer’s bread
- 2 piece Garlic cloves
- 0,5 teaspoon Black pepper from the mill
- 0,5 teaspoon Paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried mixed herbs *
- 1 Knife point Salt
- 4 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
- Cut the bread into pieces 2×2 cm and let them dry.
- Peel the garlic and dice very finely.
- Mix the bread cubes with pepper, salt, the dried herbs and paprika powder, pour the oil over them, stir well and leave to steep for at least two hours.
- Heat a pan and slowly fry the bread cubes until crispy. Beware: the garlic burns pretty quickly and becomes bitter as a result.
- They just taste like that, as a soup, as a topping for salads or as a basis for a bread salad.
