Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 350 ml kefir
- 120 g spelt, crushed
- 400 g flour (wheat flour, type 550)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- ½ point yeast (dry yeast)
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
Combine all ingredients in a dough. Add more flour or a little water if needed. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. For breakfast rolls, the dough can also be refrigerated overnight. Knead again and form 12 rolls. Let rise on a baking sheet for 20 minutes. Bake for about 20 minutes at 200°C. While baking, add a small bowl of water to the oven. These will be crusty, slightly tart rolls that pair perfectly with jam.
