Plum jam with a twist

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg plum(s), washed, pitted, chopped
  • ½ tsp, crushed cinnamon powder
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), scraped
  • 50 ml rum
  • 1 package of gelling sugar, 1:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 35 minutes

With vanilla, cinnamon and rum

Combine the washed, pitted, and chopped plums with the cinnamon, vanilla pulp, vanilla bean, and sugar, then cover and let stand overnight. The next day, remove the vanilla bean and bring the mixture to a boil while stirring. Boil for 4 minutes according to the package instructions. If you like, you can further break up the jam with a hand blender. Now add the rum and mix well. While still hot, pour into well-cleaned twist-off jars and seal tightly.
