Marble Cake with Marzipan

The perfect marble cake with marzipan recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Soft butter
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 5 Eggs
  • 100 g Sour cream
  • 350 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 3 tbsp Unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 100 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 1 drops Bitter almond flavor
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Sifted powdered sugar
  1. Stir butter and sugar until foamy. Stir in eggs, a pinch of salt, sour cream, vanilla sugar and milk. Mix in flour and baking powder, stir in.
  2. Halve the dough. Mix one half with cocoa powder. Grate the marzipan and mix with the other half of the dough with a few drops of bitter almond flavor. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (fan oven to 160 degrees).
  3. Layer the two doughs in a greased loaf pan, stir with a fork to create a marble pattern. Bake the cake in the oven for about 50 minutes. Let the cake cool down a little, turn it out of the mold, turn it over, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
