Turkey Stew

The perfect turkey stew recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 Onions
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • 4 Stems Thyme
  • 1 Turkey leg, boneless, with skin
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 1 small head Cabbage
  • 400 g Carrots
  • 6 Potatoes
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • Salt pepper
  • 1,5 l Chicken broth
  • 6 Stems Parsley
  1. Peel and dice the onions.
  2. Peel and finely chop the garlic.
  3. Wash the thyme, shake dry and pluck the leaves from the stems.
  4. Wash the meat, pat dry and roughly dice.
  5. Heat the oil in a casserole.
  6. Add the meat and fry it vigorously while turning.
  7. In the meantime, clean the cabbage and cut into large pieces.
  8. Wash, peel and slice the carrots.
  9. Add the garlic, bay leaf and thyme leaves to the meat and sauté briefly.
  10. Season with salt and pepper.
  11. Add the cabbage, stew for approx. 15 minutes, turning several times.
  12. Peel the potatoes, cut into small pieces and also add.
  13. Then deglaze with the chicken stock, bring to the boil and cook for about 40 minutes.
  14. Wash parsley, shake dry and chop.
  15. Arrange on plates and serve with the chopped parsley.
