Hawaiian toast with fried egg

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 slices of toast
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices of cooked ham
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices of pineapple
  • some tomato ketchup
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat), using the grill function if desired. Lightly toast the slices of toast. In the meantime, melt a little cooking fat in a pan and fry the eggs into fried eggs according to your taste, seasoning them with salt and pepper. Spread the toast with a little tomato ketchup, top with ham, your choice of cheese, and the fried egg. Place the pineapple slice so that the (still soft) egg yolk peeks out through the hole in the pineapple slice. Alternatively, place the fried egg on top of the pineapple slice. Place a slice of processed cheese of your choice on top. Bake in the oven until the cheese is melted, depending on your taste. This takes about 5-10 minutes. You can change the sauce to your taste and also use mayo, BBQ sauce, or other sauces.
