Creamed potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 7 m.-sized potatoes, washed, peeled and halved
  • 1 dl broth
  • some salt and pepper
  • 2 ½ dl cream (full cream)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • some herbs, finely chopped as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Creamed potatoes

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (convection oven). Pour the broth into a medium-high gratin dish (approximately 30 x 20 cm), arrange the potatoes in it, and season well with salt and pepper. Bake in the oven on the lowest rack for 20 minutes. Pour the cream into a bowl, add the crushed garlic, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well. After 20 minutes, remove the potatoes from the oven. Pour the cream over them and return them to the oven on the lowest rack for another 20 to 25 minutes. When the potatoes are tender, remove them from the oven and sprinkle with herbs of your choice. This makes a great side dish for roasts or grilled meats.
