Almond macaroons

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 egg white
  • 80 g ground almonds
  • 80 g sugar
  • 3 drops of bitter almond flavor
  • 7 almonds, peeled and halved lengthwise

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

for approx. 14 pieces

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Beat the egg whites in a bowl with a hand mixer until frothy. Add the almonds, sugar, and bitter almond flavoring and mix everything until moist. Sprinkle your hands with a little sugar, roll the dough into small balls, and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Press an almond half into the center of each ball. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15-20 minutes, until the macaroons are golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
