Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g potatoes, waxy
  • 1 apple, red-skinned
  • 120 g bacon (farmer’s bacon)
  • 1 spring onion(s)
  • 300 g pasta (e.g. Älplermagronen)
  • 200 ml full cream
  • 600 ml vegetable stock
  • 60 g Appenzeller
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 30 g fried onions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

easy and fast

Peel the potatoes and wash the apple, then cut both into approximately 1 cm cubes. Cut the bacon into strips. Wash the spring onions and slice them into rings along with the green parts. Add all but the last three ingredients to a large pot, mix, and bring to a boil. Cook uncovered over medium heat for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente. Grate the cheese and mix in, season to taste, and finally scatter the fried onions on top.
