Sift the icing sugar. Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl with a hand mixer on high for 1 minute until frothy. Sprinkle in the icing sugar, vanilla sugar and aniseed while stirring for 1 minute and continue stirring the mixture for a further 2 minutes. Mix the flour with the baking powder, sift and beat twice briefly on low speed. Fill a piping bag with a star nozzle and pipe as evenly as possible small stars onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Leave to dry at room temperature for about 60 minutes. Then bake in the preheated oven on the middle shelf at about 160° – 170° for about 12 minutes. The cookies should not brown. Remove the cookies from the tray using the baking paper and let them cool on a wire rack. Then store in a tin that is tightly sealed.
